Fighting to Win!

It's called a standing 8 count - when a boxer gets knocked down but not out. But the referee has the authority to stop the match if he feels that the boxer is not fit to continue.

I've had many standing 8's in life, where I've been knocked down but not out! The difference...My God is my Coach and Cornerman, who has trained me to get up, fight and win!

Leadership is not defined by my failures and knockdowns, but by my ability to trust my Coach and stay in the fight!

This passage is worth reading and meditating on:

2Cor. 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. 8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— 10 always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 11 For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death is working in us, but life in you.

2010 Evangelism-FrontLines Theme:

Building back to Basics [B3] in Christ-likeness, the Church, Competency [C3]
That's what B3 in C3 is!

1. Christ-likeness: Deepening and developing intimacy with Jesus, while becoming more like Him in life, word, actions according to His Word.
2. Church: Understanding who we are as Kingdom disciples in His Church (capital C) and knowing, owning, living out New Hope's mission and core values.
3. Competency: Growing in skill, technique and gifting' to please God.

[B3] in Christ-likeness!

Question:
What does it mean to Build Back to Basics [B3] in Christ-likeness?

Answer:
As God's disciples, we must all build a strong spiritual relationship and foundation. Why? Not just to be strong to live for Him, but more importantly, to become like and grow intimately in love with the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. In other words, before I can live strong for Him, I need to be strong (& in love) with Him!

I pray that our Evangelism family develop a strong, personal relationship with Jesus and the Godhead, in a way that pleases Him and touches other lives!

Philippians 3:10

I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, 11 so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!
